David is a photographic artist whose practice centres on communicating queer culture and lived experience through the composition of surreal still-life imagery. He considers his work as the construction, documentation and destruction of transient sculptures and scenes that speak autobiographically about his life. The studio therefore exists as a site for personal reflection and introspection, using creative process as a catalyst.

Working primarily with everyday objects, David creates visual arrangements rich with symbolism, humour, and pop-culture references. His images invite viewers to reconsider the familiar and to interrogate the cultural norms that shape queer identity and experience. His series Ad Homonem is a vibrant exploration of the quirks, intricacies, and challenges of navigating the gay dating scene as a person of colour, while his current and yet-untitled collection adopts a more minimalist and mood-driven aesthetic, deepening this ongoing investigation.
